Description

Located in the small town of Stockbridge in western Vermont, this modern wood chalet sits nestled in the trees and steps down the mountain. With three bedrooms, Cedar Rock Chalet can sleep six comfortably and is just right for a couple’s getaway or for a few friends on a ski vacation.

Character

The huge stone fireplace is the focal point of the open floor plan of this Vermont vacation rental. With its comfy seating arrangement, this is the perfect place for relaxing after a long day skiing or hiking. Grab your glass of wine, snuggle up and stare into the fire. Sliding glass doors off the Living area lead to the deck and the view of the surrounding mountains.

Bright white interiors with rustic furniture are typical throughout the chalet. There are two dining tables and each seats four comfortably. The Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need – including wine glasses for those long nights in front of the fire. Decorative pulls add pretty accents to the rustic wood cabinetry.

The main bedroom has a king-sized bed, HDTV and DVD player and has sliding doors to a covered deck. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed – both with charming quilts and the third bedroom has bunk beds (singles) with cute quilts too. In a pinch, you can sleep two more on the queen sofa bed in the Living area. There are two bathrooms, one with tub/shower combo, and one with stack washer/dryer and small shower.

Surroundings

The hot tub is just the thing for soothing those sore muscles after a skiing or snowboarding the day away, and the deck is perfect for sipping that morning cup of coffee while looking out over the mountains. This chalet is a snow-covered hide away, colorful autumn getaway and a lush green paradise – depending on the time of year you’re here.

In the summer, you can head to the private river frontage, it’s at the bottom of the road, along with the tennis courts. Fish, kayak, swim, bike or sunbathe - spend the entire day at the river or at the nearby Killington Resort. No matter the time of year, there will be plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy. After snowfall, you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding.
