Vermont’s Green Mountains are the perfect spot for an outdoorsy vacation in all seasons, so take your pick. Great ski slopes are just a 20-minute drive away at Killington Mountain, but if you visit at a different time of year, there will also be a lot of other things to keep you entertained. Take a fun mountain bike tour, or head out on your own if you’re already an expert. Pittsfield offers some of Vermont’s very best mountain bike trails, and you can spend hours exploring them, either on your own or with a tour group. Not a cyclist? Not to worry! You can always head out for a hike and explore the Green Mountains on foot, enjoying the beautiful forests. You can also test your strength with some rock climbing at nearby Deer Leap.
If you’re not in the mood for extreme sports, you can always go for a more leisurely stroll: at nearby shopping areas!
