The moment you walk into the Antler House and catch sight of its modern design and flourish of rustic flair, you’ll know without a doubt that you’re set up to live the ultimate mountainside lifestyle. This Killington luxury house rental is situated right in the middle of a lush forest, and when you see it, you’ll feel like you’re pulling up to your own personal mountainside resort—and with all the amenities this home offers, you practically are!
An Upscale Home with the Seclusion of the Mountains
An excellent choice for larger groups and families, the interior of this home is handsomely decorated, with fine furnishings and elegant light fixtures that retain a cabin-style aesthetic. The living area features polished hard-wood flooring, vaulted ceilings, and wide windows that flood the room with natural light. You’ll find plentiful seating among plush couches and chairs with plaid-patterned pillows that surround the grand stone fireplace of this Killington Vermont vacation rental, where you can gather around the crackling flames during the evening or on a snowy winter day (firewood is provided). Hanging over the hearth is a flat-screen television, in case you’d like to snuggle up and watch a movie before you prepare for your next day of activities in Vermont.
The kitchen is just off of the living area, and has been recently updated, with sleek granite countertops, a tasteful, white-tiled backsplash, and comes fully equipped with new appliances and cooking supplies, allowing you to create any dish you’d like. There is a generously sized wooden table in the dining area that will seat up to ten people, or in the summer months, you can utilize the gas grill and enjoy your meals out on the deck facing the shimmering green leaves of the forest.
Perfect for Family Gatherings
Upstairs, you’ll find not one but two master suites, each with queen-size beds and personal bathrooms. The first master has access to its own loft, which is perfect for some quiet reading time, or you could stretch out on the cushy couch beneath the magnificent solarium windows and watch the snow fall outside. In the second master bedroom, there’s huge windows that open up to a view of the forest. In addition, there’s a third bedroom that provides a twin-bunk bed with a rollout trundle.
On the lower level, there’s a spectacular game room, which is the crown jewel which makes this vacation rental absolutely perfect for large families, especially with older kids. Featuring four raised twin bunks built atop storage space and shelves that are stacked with board games and other entertainment, the kids will think this heaven on earth! The room also has a flat-screen television, and an X-Box One, so it’s a terrific spot for the kids to have the sleepover of their dreams. Or, if it’s an adults-only vacation, you can also use the downstairs space to entertain and craft cocktails at the wet bar.
One of the great highlights of this property is the sauna housed downstairs, which is so relaxing after a rigorous day of mountain activities. As well as the two private bathrooms in the master suites, there is an additional ¾ bath in the sauna, and another ¾ bath with a washer and dryer, so you can clean up easily after your family’s rugged adventures.
Due to the remote mountain location, cell phone service is extremely limited here at the Antler House. But, not to worry! There is strong internet connectivity here, so you’ll be able to keep up with loved ones back home, as well as check your email and catch all your favorite shows.
