Enjoy handcrafted local beer at the annual Killington Brewfest. Held on September 30th each year, Killington kicks off the season with plenty of pints of delicious beer made using local ingredients.

In the nearby town of Woodstock, the Woodstock Art Festival kicks off in early September and includes food and live music as well. Later on, September 30th and October 1st bring on the town’s Pumpkin & Apple Celebration, where you can partake in two of autumn’s most iconic produce in excess.

During Columbus Day weekend in October, Rutland—another town close by—hosts its annual Art in the Park festivities, which showcases the work and pieces of over one hundred local artists and crafters all along Main Street Park. From paintings and photography to quilts and metalworking, you can see and purchase a variety of art mediums.

On the last weekend of October, Rutland also holds its annual Halloween Parade, where hundreds of floats and people are dressed in costume to celebrate the spookiest holiday of the year.
