How to Compete
Calm, glassy waters are replaced by boisterous winter Vermont hockey games with this weekly series that takes place every winter. Compete in a friendly game of Vermont pond hockey every Monday and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Summit Pond at The Foundry restaurant. You don’t even need to bring equipment. Though you’re encouraged to bring your own equipment, skates, helmets and sticks will be available for rent for $8. This is a drop-in style league with teams of four.
Eat at The Foundry After Vermont Pond Hockey
The series takes place at The Foundry at Summit Pond, a major plus for anyone interested in competing. The Foundry is one of our favorite places in Killington. The restaurant celebrates Vermont fare inside a beautiful post-and-beam building that sits right on Summit Pond. If you can, grab a seat on the deck right beside the pond.
Menu items include fresh Vermont fare including fresh seafood, elk and veal. Try the espresso-rubbed New Zealand elk rack and the lamb Bolognese. The Foundry serves an excellent brunch and cocktails as well. The restaurant is just as great for an elegant or romantic evening as it is for an evening with family and friends.
