If you’re looking for an intense athletic challenge, consider the Nor’Beaster Bud Light Killington Triathlon. When you carbo-load for this triathlon, it’ll be after you’ve crossed the finish line, and your main source of carbs will be a cold Bud Light. Sounds good, right? Read on to learn about this Vermont marathon.
The Vermont Race Course
This springtime event will test your athleticism to its limits. You’ll ski/snowboard, bike and run on a course at Killington Ski Resort. There are five age divisions for individuals at this Vermont race, plus two divisions for teams.
The course requires one lap of skiing/snowboarding, one lap of biking and one lap of running. While you’re racing, admire the snowy slopes of Killington Peak under a clear spring sky. You’ll find that triathlons are more beautiful in Vermont. Check Killington’s website closer to the race date for more details about the course. The entry fee is $40 per individual and $60 per team. Teams must have at least three racers. These fees do not include lift tickets, though competitors get a discount on tickets.
After the Race
When you’re done with the Vermont marathon, grab a beer at the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar at the K-1 Lodge and recuperate with a deep tissue sports massage at the Grand Spa. If you’d prefer to relax in the comfort of your own home, bring your brews and food back your GetAway Vacations home and relax in front of the fireplace after a long, cold day on the mountain.
