Fred Cercena
Founder & CEO
Fred is the main driving force behind GetAway Vacations. He is involved in nearly every aspect of the company—from making major corporate decisions and managing daily operations to owner relations, technology and rental company acquisition. He has over nine years of experience in vacation rentals and 22 years experience in Marketing, sales management, and consulting. Above all, Fred is friendly, dependable, and driven.
Ethan
Maintenance & Inspection Manager
Ethan oversees all of the properties at GetAway Vacations. He manages all pre and post arrival inspections, as well as any and all maintenance—such as landscaping, plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry and snow removal needs. A former Marine and Afghan War veteran, Ethan is also a fully accredited plumber and electrician, and draws on his years of experience working in the construction industry. Above all, Ethan is outgoing, honest, and dependable.
Carol
Sales & Office Manager
Carol oversees all guest and owner relations, as well as general bookkeeping. This includes negotiating terms and rates with owners, running daily reports, updating current databases and answering the phone. Carol has worked in the vacation rental and property management field for 16 years, in addition to having owned and operated a home daycare/preschool in Alaska, and a home cake decorating business in New York. Above all, Carol is enthusiastic, thoughtful, and trustworthy.
Fred’s personal interests – Mountain biking, bass fishing, playing guitar, traveling and spending time with his wife and two boys.
Ethan’s personal interests – Hunting, fishing, hockey, football and spending time with his daughter.
Carol’s personal interests – Photography, cake decorating, hiking and spending time with her husband, three children and two grandchildren.
