GetAway is an independent vacation rental and property management company that only manages vacation rentals. We know how important it is for you to have a pleasant and stress-free vacation. Our mission is to do our best to accommodate you with regard to your reservation, so please read the Rental Agreement Terms & Conditions below carefully:
RESERVATIONS
A minimum stay of two (2) nights is required. Longer minimums may apply during peak or holiday periods.
Reservations will not be accepted from individuals under 25 years old unless accompanied by an adult who is present for the duration of the stay. In rare cases where a reserved property becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, substitute accommodations of equal value will be offered or a full refund will be provided. Reservations made under false pretenses will result in cancellation, forfeiture of funds, and denied access.
COMMUNICATION
When booking with us and providing your mobile number, you consent to receive communication via SMS, email, or phone regarding important reservation details such as check-in codes, reminders, and updates. To opt out of SMS communication, reply STOP.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival and will be charged automatically unless another payment is made. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full, non-refundable payment. Failure to pay will result in cancellation.
Advance deposits are applied to your reservation and are not held as a damage deposit.
Guests booking through platforms like Airbnb or Booking.com must follow their payment schedules and policies.
CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION
You authorize GetAway to charge your credit card for applicable damages or fees up to 90 days post-departure. These charges may include, but are not limited to, damages, lost items, unauthorized charges, or policy violations.
LIMITED PROPERTY DAMAGE WAIVER
Your reservation includes a 4% non-refundable fee that provides up to $2,000 of accidental damage coverage, provided the damage is reported before checkout. The waiver does not cover intentional damage, theft, negligence, or damage caused by pets or unregistered guests.
You remain responsible for any damage beyond $2,000. The waiver is not insurance and does not replace trip insurance. We recommend all guests consider purchasing additional coverage for peace of mind.
UTILITIES & HOT WATER DISCLAIMER
We make every effort to ensure utilities are working upon arrival, including electricity, water, and hot water. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service due to outages or external issues. No refunds will be issued for utility outages. Our team will respond as quickly as possible to resolve any issues.
TRAVEL & TRIP INSURANCE
GetAway strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your trip from unexpected events, including but not limited to:
- Cancellations
- Illness or injury
- Travel delays
- Weather disruptions
- Utility failures
We do not sell travel insurance directly but recommend Rental Guardian. If your reservation is moved or credited, standard cancellation policies still apply.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
Check-in is after 4:00 PM. Early check-in is only permitted with prior approval and may incur an additional fee. Check-out is by 10:00 AM. Late check-outs without prior approval will result in additional charges.
NO SMOKING
Smoking of any kind, including tobacco, marijuana, and e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in or around the property. Violation will result in a $1,000 fine and possible eviction.
PET POLICY
Pets are permitted only in properties explicitly identified as pet-friendly, and the term “pet” refers exclusively to dogs. No prior approval is required for these designated homes; however, dogs are not allowed in non-pet-friendly properties under any circumstances. Unauthorized pets will result in a $1,000 fine, immediate eviction, and forfeiture of all rental fees.
OCCUPANCY & PARKING
Maximum occupancy is limited to the number of guests listed in your confirmation. Children and infants are included in the count.
No RVs, tents, or trailers. Vehicle limits must be observed. Unauthorized vehicles may be towed and fines assessed. Electric vehicle charging is not permitted.
LINEN & HOUSEKEEPING
Linens and a starter supply of household items are provided. Guests are responsible for basic cleanup upon departure, including trash removal and dishes. Failure to comply may result in an additional cleaning fee of at least $150. Daily, weekly, or monthly housekeeping service is not included in the rental rate but is available upon request for an additional cost.
INTERNET
Internet is available in most properties, but access is not guaranteed. Refunds will not be issued for service disruptions.
FIRE SAFETY & GRILLS
Do not clean fireplaces; our housekeeping staff will handle that after your departure. Most homes offer outdoor grills; however, GetAway assumes no responsibility for the type, availability, or condition of grills, and fuel (propane or charcoal) is not provided. Use fire pits responsibly and never leave them unattended.
WINTER WEATHER & SAFETY
We recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles and snow tires in winter. No refunds will be issued due to weather or road conditions.
Walkways, stairs, and driveways may be icy or snowy. Use caution. No refunds will be issued for slips or falls due to snow or ice accumulation.
HOT TUBS, POOLS & ELEVATORS
We cannot guarantee hot tubs, pools or elevators will be operational at all times. No refunds will be provided if these amenities are unavailable.
RATE CHANGES
Rates are subject to change without notice until your reservation is confirmed.
FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS
Providing false information or misrepresenting your reservation will result in cancellation and forfeiture of all monies.
WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS
Any exceptions to these terms must be approved in writing in advance.
PROPERTY BOOKING INFORMATION & TERMS
All GetAway Vacations properties are individually owned and reflect the personal style of each homeowner—no two properties are alike. Each listing on our website includes detailed information and a photo gallery that accurately represents the home at the time of listing.
While we encourage owners to keep their properties clean and well maintained and we inspect properties as needed, all rentals are provided as-is. By booking, guests confirm they have reviewed the listing and understand that preferences related to décor, furnishings, or perceived condition do not qualify for refunds or adjustments.
Please note that minor updates may occur between the time of listing and your arrival (such as new bedding or appliances). These changes are typically improvements and do not impact the overall quality or value of your stay.
If a property becomes unavailable or if there is a sudden change in the quoted rate, we will make every effort to accommodate your reservation. This may involve canceling your reservation and refunding your balance or offering alternative accommodations of equal value, subject to availability.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Your reservation with GetAway is considered firm. If you booked through a third-party platform (such as Airbnb, Vrbo, or Booking.com), any cancellation must be submitted directly through that platform, and their cancellation terms will apply. If you booked directly with GetAway Vacations, cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellations made 30 days or more before your arrival will receive a refund of your deposit, minus a $250 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival are non-refundable, and the full rental amount will be charged.
