We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.
All Properties require a (2) night minimum stay. A longer minimum stay may be required during summer and holiday periods.
The property will not be guaranteed before 4:00 PM eastern time on arrival date and check-out time is 10:00 AM eastern time on the day of departure. We are aware there may be times when you may need to arrive a little early or have a later checkout, we try our best to accommodate our guests when this occurs. ***Please note this will not happen unless you make prior arrangements with GetAway Vacations, as there may be an extra fee associated with these requests. ***
This is a NON-SMOKING property.
Pets are only permitted in Pet-Friendly Properties and guests will be charged a pet fee. Guests that bring a pet to a non-pet-friendly property will be charged a $250 fee.
Quiet time is 10 PM please be respectful, if the noise level is bothering any neighbors you will be given a warning and asked to quiet down. If you do not comply there may be fines or you may be asked to leave.
GetAway Vacations provides Property Protection Insurance. This Damage Insurance is a program that covers up to $3000 in accidental damage to your rental unit that occurs during your covered occupancy. GetAway Vacations is responsible for filing all program claims on behalf of the guest and the guest will be notified in writing of any such claim. Guest verification of damages may be required in certain cases. Guests will be responsible for the cost of repair of all damages that exceed the coverage Limit of the Property Protection Insurance. The Property Protection Insurance Program includes any related insurance, technology-support, service, and claims adjudication costs, along with administrative fees charged by GetAway Vacations for making this coverage available. The manager requires a valid Visa, MasterCard, or American Express number on file in addition to the Property Protection Insurance Fee. The Property Protection Insurance Fee is nonrefundable.
This program does not cover intentional damage, unauthorized entry into the owner's supply closet, unauthorized pets, those damages resulting from the negligence of guests, extensive cleaning required at check-out, smoking, exceeding occupancy limits or parking limits, damages from non-compliance with the terms of this agreement and any other charges/policies in Manager's Rental Terms and Conditions and Rental Agreement including any fines imposed on Manager by the City, County, State or Home Owner Association as the result of a violation of any law, ordinance, rule or regulation or any fines or costs levied against Guest or visitors of Guest (Excess Damage Costs). Determination of actual damages will be at the sole discretion of GetAway Vacations and the program underwriter.
Guests will be notified of any Excess Damage Costs in writing. Any Excess Damage Costs will also be charged immediately to the Guest's credit card. Guest, by agreeing below, assumes full responsibility for any items found to be missing and any damage due to misuse, negligence, or action on Guest's or Guest's visitors’ part, except in the case of normal wear-and-tear reported to Manager within 48 hours of Check-in.
PAYMENT: (For all Maine properties) reservations made within 60 days of arrival full payment will be due at the time of booking. For reservations made outside 60 days of arrival, an advanced payment of 50% of the reservation total will be due at the time of booking and the balance will be due 60 days prior to arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the room rent. The advance payment is not a damage deposit.
(For Vermont properties) reservations made within 30 days of arrival full payment will be due at the time of booking. For reservations made outside 30 days of arrival, an advanced payment of 25% of the reservation total will be due at the time of booking and the balance will be due 30 days prior to arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the room rent. The advance payment is not a damage deposit.
CANCELATIONS: (For all Maine properties) all reservations are final; there are no cancellation refunds. Since we act as brokers between owners and
guests, rental monies pass from us to owners once you rent. Therefore, all monies are non-refundable. If the tenant fails to make
the second payment 60 days prior to arrival, all monies shall be retained by the Owner and fees paid to the rental agent.
(For all Vermont properties) cancelation or changes of reservations with advance payments. Refund Payments for canceled bookings 31 days or more before the check-in date will be released to the canceling guest within 5 days of when the cancellation is made. • Cancellations or changes to a reservation made 30 days prior to the day of check-in will not be eligible for a refund. • Guests may cancel their reservation by notifying GetAway Vacations in writing that they wish to cancel. Cancelations and early departures due to inclement weather or any other reason do not warrant refunds of any kind.
CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION: I understand and consent to the use of the credit card provided without the original signature on the charge slip, and that this Credit Card Authorization cannot be revoked and will not terminate until 90 days after rented premises are vacated. Charges may include unauthorized long-distance telephone and satellite TV charges; damages beyond normal wear and tear; unreturned keys, & parking infractions.
WEATHER POLICY/ROAD CONDITIONS: No refunds will be given for Snow/Ice and Heavy Rain Storms. Mountain roads can be curvy and steep. We here at GetAway Vacations highly recommend a vehicle having an all-wheel drive, 4-wheel drive, and snow tires on your vehicle, even after the driveway has been plowed it can remain slippery. Gravel drives are well maintained; however, we do not refund due to road conditions. Departures due to inclement weather do not warrant a refund of any kind.
WALKWAYS/DRIVEWAYS/STEPS & STAIRS: During the winter months we get snow, rain, and ice coverage on all surfaces. Our maintenance team shovels snow, sand, and salts to keep these surfaces as safe as possible. In the event that we are not able to clear the snow and ice, we can not be held responsible if you slip and fall so be careful when accessing the property. No refunds of any kind will be provided if the snow and ice are not removed from these surfaces.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: Each property has a maximum number of guests that are allowed. This is indicated by the number that the unit sleeps in beds. If you are caught over occupying the property, you will be asked to vacate and there will be no refund given.
HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE: Daily/weekly/monthly housekeeping service is not included in the rental rate, however, this is available at an additional cost.
RATE CHANGES: Rates are subject to change without notice.
FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS: Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit, and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in.
WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS: Any exceptions to the above-mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
PARKING: Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
FIREPLACES: Please do not clean out the fireplace, the housekeeper will clean it out after you leave.
HOT TUBS: We do our best to make sure all hot tubs in our private homes are operational. In the event that they are not working correctly, we can not offer refunds of any kind.
INTERNET: We provide internet access in most of our properties, we can not be held responsible if the internet is not working or it is slow and no refunds will be made.
ELEVATORS: Condos that have elevators are maintained by the condo association. We can not guaranty that they are functional 100% of the time. No refunds will be given if they not working and need repair.
POOL / HOT TUB / HEALTH CLUB & RESTAURANT AVAILABILITY:

MOUNTAIN GREEN CONDOS ONLY FOR 2021/2022 SKI SEASON:
At the recommendation of our engineers and for safety reasons, the pool, hot tubs, and lockers will be closed this season while repairs are made. This would also give us an opportunity to re-design and upgrade certain parts of this area. The ceiling of the garage below the pool will be shored to allow the use of the garage this year, while the permanent support will happen this coming summer. The garage will remain open and only the affected parking spaces will be closed for the next couple of months for the repair. We are disappointed to have to make this decision, however, safety remains our highest priority, as it should be yours, as we identify and confront these serious infrastructure issues. We are awaiting the final report and will share it as soon as it becomes available.
