The Killington Wine Festival, one of the Killington region’s signature summer events, is celebrating 14 years. This year’s event will take place Friday July 17th until Sunday July 19th and feature more than 400 wines from a collection of over 40 vineyards around the world, there are plenty of reasons to raise a glass. So pack your toothbrush, golf clubs, and a healthy appetite and head to the Killington Wine Festival to toast more than 14 years of wine in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Friday Tasting Events of the Killington Wine Festival

Estate Wine Tasting

The Killington Wine Festival kicks off the weekend with an Estate Tasting at the Killington Peak Lodge on Friday July 17th from 6-8 p.m. Enjoy a scenic gondola ride to the peak of Killington Mountain for an exclusive wine tasting. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet to vintners and representatives behind the weekend’s wines while taking in the best view in The Green Mountain State. Ticket price includes a lift ticket and light hors d’oeuvres.

Killington Wine Trail

Enjoy appetizers, dinners and a glass or two at The Killington Wine Trail. This event, also happening on Friday, July 17th from 6-10 p.m. will feature local restaurants, inns and lodges that are sure to break out the best wines they have in their cellars! Click here to find out more information.

Saturday Tasting Events

Grand Tasting at K1 Base Area & Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars

With a wine guide in hand, head to Killington Resort’s K1 Base Area & Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars from 1 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 18th to participate in the premier event of the Killington Wine Festival – The Grand Tasting. Pair unlimited tastings of more than 450 wines with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a smorgasbord of Vermont specialty cheeses, chocolates and more to create your very own sampling adventure. Then, take in majestic views of Vermont’s natural beauty with a roundtrip ride on the K1 gondola to the top of Killington Peak (4,241 feet in elevation).

Saturday Evening Wine Dinners

Sunday Tasting Event

Wine and Nine

Make sure to reserve enough energy to stick around for the Sunday afternoon “Wine and Nine” closing event at the Green Mountain National Golf Course, ranked as the No. 1 Public Golf Course in Vermont by Golf Digest. Enjoy 9 holes of golf with friends accompanied by a tasting of 9 specialty wines selected from Baker Distributing’s extensive portfolio. The unique event will be followed by a light dinner and awards ceremony in the clubhouse. A special “Tapas Tasting Tent,” hosted by Executive Chef Bryan Gudelis of Garlic Restaurant, will feature a pairing of a few of The Garlic’s amazing appetizers and wine selections. Also, compete in the “Captain & Crew” golf tournament to close out the Killington Wine Festival weekend with a bang.
