When you first think of a girls’ night out, you probably don’t think of going to a ski resort. Well, you should because there are numerous things to do around Killington, even if you aren’t a skier. It’s a one-stop shop for world-class restaurants, year-round sports, music, entertainment, and relaxation.

Ski and Snowboard

Maybe not everyone in your group is as confident on the slopes as you are. Or maybe this is a first time for everyone. A two-hour group lesson costs just $79. And if it’s not your first time on the slopes, then Killington and Pico Mountain are guaranteed fun and make for one of the most fun things to do around Killington. Pico Mountain, which has 19 miles of trails and over 468 skiable acres, is smaller than Killington, which has 73 miles of trails over 1,509 skiable acres. Together, the resorts, which are managed by the same company, make up nearly 2,000 skiable acres.

Things to do Around Killington: Music and Cocktails

There are tons of dining and entertainment options at both resorts. We love the Wobbly Barn Nightclub, known to be one of the most popular Killington Vermont summer attractions. There’s live music, theme parties and dancing Thursday through Saturday evenings. For a more upscale group excursion, consider the stunning Motor Room Bar. The bar is inside the original drive terminal of Killington’s very first four-passenger lift, and you can only access it via snowcat. The excursion is for folks 21 and over and has a maximum of 10 people. A price of $75 per person gets you a snowcat ride, selection of light hors d’oeuvres, and up to two cocktails per person.

Visit the Spa

At Killington Grand Spa, you can get massages, scrubs, and facials. Try the warm maple sugar scrub, which is made fresh at Killington with Vermont maple syrup. Or perhaps after a long day of skiing, you’re looking forward to a Black Diamond Sports Massage. In this custom sports massage, a cryoderm gel is applied to stop swelling and to calm sore muscles.

Try Rock Climbing

For a unique bonding experience, try indoor rock climbing. We guarantee it will challenge you in ways you never expected. It’s fun, adventurous, and great for groups. The Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center is located right on Woodstock Avenue in Rutland, a short drive from Killington. The gym offers 30 top rope stations, lead climbing, bouldering and private instruction.
