Hearty Pub Fare & Waterfront Views in One of the Best Killington Restaurants
Lunch and dinner are served at Charity’s Tavern and Restaurant. Start your meal off with appetizers like tuna tartare, nachos supreme, hickory-smoked barbeque ribs, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, onion rings, fresh calamari, artichoke dip, Jamaican jerk chicken wings, vegetable spring rolls, sesame ginger lettuce wraps, and baby Brussels sprouts fried and served with spicy sriracha aioli.
Soups and salads include everything from classics like spinach salad, house salad, and Caesar salad to sundried cranberry gorgonzola salad and New England clam chowder. The onion soup is also a hit during the colder months of the year, topped with delectable Swiss cheese.
For the main course, you can choose from burgers, sandwiches, or a wide range of entrees. The Ragin’ Cajun burger pairs bleu cheese and jalapenos. The Charity’s turkey dipper brings a little piece of Thanksgiving to your plate, with a turkey and stuffing sandwich served with cranberry sauce and a side of gravy. Teriyaki chicken stir fry, chicken piccata, fajitas, and shrimp and sausage Cajun alfredo sample from a variety of cuisines.
New York sirloins, pot roast, seared salmon, New England baked stuffed haddock, Philly cheesesteaks, stuffed eggplant, barbeque pulled pork tacos, and the Harvest of the Sea (a seafood lover’s delight with fresh mussels, scallops, and shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, and scampi butter over angel hair pasta) offer decadent takes on classic American dishes.
Beyond its filling pub grub, Charity’s Tavern and Restaurant also stands out for its beautiful antique bar made from Italian marble and cherry wood, constructed in France during 1887, shipped to Italian immigrant Joe Verzi, and previously making its home in Verzi’s Saloon and Restaurant in Davis, West Virginia during the turn of the century, where Verzi owned a block of buildings that included a popular establishment owned by one Miss Charity.
Charity’s is open daily, with hours from 3:00 pm to 2:00 am on Monday through Thursday, and from 12:00 pm to 2:00 am on Friday through Sunday.
