Enjoy All-Day Breakfast at One of Killington Mountain Restaurants

Maple Sugar and Vermont Spice is housed within a working sugar house once part of the estate of Brigadier General Edward H. Ripley, a Civil War general who led Rutland’s Light Guards astride his faithful horse, Old John. The estate and its descendants have long enjoyed making maple syrup, candies, and cheeses with regional finesse.

The Killington Mountain restaurant is open daily, serving breakfast all day from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and lunch from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The restaurant is closed for Christmas Day.

The all-day breakfast menu includes egg dishes and omelets served with fries and toast with jelly, waffles, French toast, biscuits and sausage gravy, oatmeal, and pancakes with a variety of seasonal fruits and ingredients drizzled in pure maple syrup. Try the maple walnut pancakes, sugar and spice pancakes, pumpkin pancakes, blueberry pancakes, waffle and ice cream, silver dollar pancakes, and more, paired with the restaurant’s house-made maple syrup. Or, go for something more savory, like the minced ham and scrambled eggs, steak and eggs, or pigs in a blanket. Whichever dish you get, you can pair it with a side of bacon, Canadian bacon, hash, ham, or sausage.

For lunch, you can dine on turkey sandwiches, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, roast beef sandwiches (grilled or medium-rare), Reubens, homemade soups (after 11:00 am), and homemade sundaes with maple. The Fillmore Salad consists of a garden salad with Swiss cheese, ham, and turkey, while the Old John’s Grill is a sandwich with white meat turkey, smoked ham, and Vermont cheddar.

Additionally, Maple Sugar and Vermont Spice also has a gift shop located on-site that sells a wide range of local artwork, cheeses, truffles, maple syrup and maple candy made in-house, flavored butter, and creams, local honey, homemade fudge, gift baskets, clothing, and more. The gift shop is open from 7:00 am until closing at 2:00 pm.
