Presidential History at the Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site

Now owned by the State of Vermont, the Coolidge Homestead is located in Plymouth Notch, a small mountain town 15 minutes south of Killington, in the heart of the Green Mountains. The historic site includes the family’s homestead, several bars, a general store, a working cheese factory, a church, a school, a museum, and the cemetery where Coolidge is buried stretched out over 600 acres of land. There are several spots where you can stop and have a picnic, so bring a lunch if you plan on spending most of your day at the village.

The President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site is open daily from late May to early October from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Visits begin at the visitor center, where an admission fee is collected. The visitor center is located at 3780 Rte. 100A. The historic site also offers tours each day which start at the Florence Cilley General Store, which sells candy, snacks, and other souvenirs.
