Eden Ice Cider Company

Eden Orchards and Eden Ice Cider began on a trip to Montreal in 2006 when we first tasted ice cider and wondered why nobody was making it on our side of the border. We had dreamed for years of working together on a farm in the Northeast Kingdom; it was a dream that had vauge outlines including an apple orchard, cider and fermentation of some sort. That night we looked at each other and knew ice cider was it.

Snow Farm Winery
190 West Shore Road, South Hero, VT
Snow Farm Winery and Vineyard began as a dream in 1992 – to preserve Vermont’s agricultural land in the face of rapid development by providing an alternative for farmers. Our location, on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain permits us to grow cooler climate vinifera grapes, Pinot Noir and Riesling, as well as the more cold hardy French Hybrids, Vidal Blanc and Baco Noir. Thanks to Vermont’s cold winter temperatures, Snow Farm also produces an ice wine, a product that cannot be made in many other places in the world.
Caledonia Spirits and Winery

The second building on the right is the Bucket-of-Blood bar, with the Vermont-Quebec border in the middle of the bar. In the Prohibition, the customers would move north to Canadian side for liquor the name of the bar and remnants of glass in the back yard attested to some of action in this building. The buildings on the left are all in Quebec. The forage for the bees was abundant, and they were independent of any boundary or business there.
