Killington is famous for its winter atmosphere, but its summer season doesn’t get nearly enough credit for providing just as many entertainment outlets as the winter months. Challenge Yourself on the Rugged Mountainside of Killington
Not only is Killington Ski Resort the center of all of the fun and exciting winter sports that Killington has to offer, but there are also the best summertime Killington activities that take place here, including hiking, golfing, and of course mountain biking.
Killington Mountain Bike Park enjoys a wide variety of terrain, consisting of a jump trail with enormous features and berms for expert mountain bikers, a professional-style downhill race trail, an intermediately difficult flow trail with berms, and additional intermediate trails being recently built. Killington Ski Resort’s mountain bike park can be accessed from the K-1 Express Gondola, the Snowshed Express Chair, and the Ramshead Express Chair lifts.
On-site, mountain bikers will also find lessons, tours, equipment rentals, and even special events geared toward riders. One-day “Learn to Ride” lessons (which include one two-hour lesson, access to Snowshed lift and trail, and a full day equipment and bike rental) are priced at $76.00 for pre-purchased junior tickets for those ages eighteen and under and $95.00 for on-site purchases. For adults ages nineteen and above, pre-purchased tickets cost $100.00 and on-site purchases cost $125.00.
Additional terrain can be accessed via the Upper Mountain Upgrade for $27.00 for juniors and $34.00 for adults. A two-day add-on, which includes two days of lift and trail access and bike rental, can be added on for a total cost of $95.00 for juniors and $125.00 for adults.
Two-hour guided mountain biking tours are priced at $52.00 per person, departing at 10:00am and 2:00pm daily. Tour prices do not include bike rentals or access to trails and lifts.
Mountain bikes and riding equipment can be rented out of Killington Bike Shop at Snowshed Lodge.
Ticket prices and lessons are priced before the 7% applicable local and state taxes.
Killington Mountain Bike Park operates from 10:00am until 5:00pm on a daily basis during Memorial Day weekend and from mid-June through early October, with later hours on Fridays and Saturdays throughout these seasons. The park is also open from 10:00am until 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays from early September until late October.
