All You Need to Know About Snowboarding in Killington

There’s a good reason that Killington Ski Resort is nicknamed the “Beast of the East;” home to Killington Peak, the second-highest peak in the state of Vermont at over 4,000 feet, snowboarders who choose to try their hand at taming the beast will encounter a vertical drop of over 3,000 feet and as much as 1,500 acres of terrain for snowboarding and skiing.

Spanning over the course of seventy-three miles, the resort offers snowboarders 155 trails of varying intensity, with a nearly even split of easy, intermediate, and difficult trails. Difficult trails slightly outnumber easy and intermediate trails at Killington Ski Resort.

Killington Ski Resort is also renowned for its six diverse snowboarding terrain parks. In the park, Bear Mountain boasts an eighteen-foot halfpipe, as well as Dream Maker and the famous all-natural inspired terrain park known as The Stash. In addition to its nature-inspired terrain, The Stash also has upwards of sixty-five features in its park.

Ramshead Mountain, known for being a little more family friendly, has Easy Street Progression Park, Lil’ Stash, Timberline, a thirteen-foot halfpipe, and the space-themed terrain park called NeffLand. NeffLand will entertain snowboarders who love a good themed park, as it has jibs resembling rockets and planets, as well as two pipes, for snowborders who are really trying to improve their skill, this is the perfect thing to do in Killington, VT.
